I bought this for my mom who came to visit. It was installed in less than five minutes just turn the knob until it's tight. It feels very stable on our old steel bathtub, and Mom says it helps her sit down more confidently. This is perfect for my mom. For us, it gets the job done without needing to drill holes in the wall, making it a great tool.

Better than I expected for a clamp-on bar.

I was hesitant because I didn't think a no-drill bar could be truly sturdy. I'm pleasantly surprised. It's firmly in place on my porcelain tub and doesn't wiggle. It definitely makes me feel safer when stepping over the edge of the tub. It's a good, practical product for the price. Just follow the directions carefully.It's very convenient to purchase for elderly family members.

Heavy Duty Grab Bar

Well I honestly didn't expect it to be this well made. Soild steel construction with a good bit of weight for its size. Threw me off a little when I picked it up. This is rated for 250lbs but I think the tub would break before this thing will. I was a little worried about the clamping stability due to the top edge of my tub not being the same thickness from one end to the other (see picture). It had no problems clamping securely and aligned properly.This grab bar did not come with any instructions but it was still fairly easy to assemble without any tools. Just make sure to remove the "caps" before trying to slide the handle into the base assembly. I provided a picture of these caps that say "remove the cap". If you don't the handle will not go into the base assembly. The handle is fully adjustable and the locking pins are really easy to insert and remove (see picture of pins). The top of the handle is covered in non-slip rubber for a sure grip during entry/exit of tub.The only concern I would have is that this is steel being used in a high humidity environment. For long term use, there could be a chance of a rust issue.Overall, This is a simple solution that looks good (see picture) in your bathroom and adds a level of safety to your bath-tub excursions without breaking the bank. Highly Recommended!

This device is very versatile,stable, and secure.The freedom that it gives when you're trying to get into a step in tub is remarkable.The turn knobs are large enough that you can get a good hold on them and adjust the pressure to keep the device stable and secure.The handle that you grab on to secures by pins that go through the holes and locks into place.Very easy to install and fits a lot of different design tubs.Made with thick metal bars and high quality materials. Safety is an issue when you are unstable and this gives safety it doesn't shift and move when you grab a hold of it. Very good value for your money and the peace of mind that it gives you.
